This year’s membership drive is starting soon.

From September 1 - October 31 we'll be going door-to-door offering everyone a chance to join the Parkallen Community League.

Can you help?

We need up to 20 volunteer canvassers. Each will have an area of 50 or fewer addresses. It’s a fantastic way to meet your neighbours, get in a healthy fall walk and check out the gorgeous gardens in Parkallen.

Canada 150 Celebration

Community league members are invited to join us in celebrating Canada's 150 on September 9th, 2017! From 1-10 pm we will be hosting events for people of all ages.  Don't forget to bring a potluck item if you attend between 5:00 and 7:00 pm! We ask that people with surnames starting with A-K bring a sides or salads and L-Z bring a dessert. Activities include: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm - Pony Rides (Thistle Hill Farms) & Face Painting 2:00 pm - Rink Mural Unveiling 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Zorbs (Orbis Sports) 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Potluck BBQ 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm - Beer Gardens & Wine (drink tickets are $5 each). 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm - Live Music Feeling competitive? Enter these Blue Ribbon Events: 1:00 pm on - Sack Races, Three-Legged Races, Egg Races and other outdoor games. 2:30 pm - Parkallen Pie Contest with judge Micheal Janz. Summer Playground Programs

Join us at Ellingson Park playground for two different summer programs offering activities for kids ages 6-12! Kids under 6 are welcome to join in the fun but must be supervised by a parent or guardian. City of Edmonton Green Shack Program 10:30 am-1:30 pm Mon-Fri City of Edmonton staff will be on site leading the kids in games, sports, crafts, music, drama, and special events. The Green Shack staff will be easy to spot - they will be wearing blue shirts and name tags. Programming is still available on rainy/snowy days but will be canceled during severely inclement weather. Parkallen's Summer Playground Program Parkallen's popular summer playground program is back! Join Sydney (and occasionally Kaylyn) for fun games, activities and special events. Canada 150 Rink Mural Art Submissions

We invite you and your family to participate in one of the Parkallen Rink Mural Workshops to be held July 20 & 21 to create art that will become part of a collaborative community mural project celebrating Canada 150. The theme of the mural is “What Makes Parkallen a Special Place to Live?” Workshops will be held at Parkallen Community Hall (6510 - 111 St.)

Please fill out the form below to register for the workshops. Permission forms will need to be signed in order for artwork to be considered for use in the mural. Parental consent will be required for participants under the age of 18. If you are not attending the workshop with your child, please print out and sign a consent form to send with your child.
