Our civics volunteers make up the largest of Parkallen Community League’s committees. This dedicated group closely follows housing, planning, zoning, and development issues. Parkallen has a proud history of advocating for the best interests of our residents.

The Parkallen Community League had an active role in the development of the City’s Mature Neighbourhood Overlay (MNO). The league continues to defend the core principles of the document. We are currently engaged in discussions and negotiations around the City of Edmonton’s Evolving Infill strategy.

Planning

The Parkallen Community League is proactive in planning the future of our community. With large projects in the works, changes are coming for Parkallen. Your Civics committee advocates for the best interests of Parkallen at the City of Edmonton & University of Alberta engagement events and project-specific meetings.

Your Civics committee is dedicated to ensuring your insights and concerns are heard. If you’re interested in helping, we have volunteer opportunities ranging from small, one-time projects to longer-term involvement.
