What's New?

Walk Your Block. What's that about?

We've talked about it a bit, but you may be wondering...

What is the Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch Walk Your Block program?

This program allows you to log your daily walks with Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch.

Residents are encouraged to be active and become familiar with where they live. Getting to know neighbours and becoming familiar with the community makes us all safer.

Many participants use the 311 app to report graffiti or City of Edmonton maintenance concerns. They are encouraged to call the non-emergency police line at (780) 423-4567 to report suspicious activity.

Call 911 if you witness a crime or find someone in need of emergency help. The program is not a patrol, and citizens are not to engage criminals.

Why participate?

Research shows it makes communities safer!
Neighbourhoods with visible and engaged residents experience less crime.

The statistics from the program can help the community.
Statistics can be used to request City of Edmonton resources. The Edmonton Police Service uses the data to make connections between program participation and crime reduction.
